The infamous Dole Whip became a staple at Walt Disney parks across the US in the mid-eighties. And today, it remains a beloved classic โ so much so that the pineapple soft serve has its own national holiday. On July 21, Dole celebrates National Dole Whip Day. But the brand needed to get the word out, to generate nationwide buzz. So, they turned to us for an epic on-demand giveaway.

We wanted people to try fresh Dole products. Together with the brand, we treated fans to all the ingredients to craft the frosty favorite. But first, we needed to drum up excitement. In the days leading up to the campaign, @DoleSunshine teased the giveaway with reminder tweets and Instagram posts and stories. We helped @DoleSunshine officially kick off the celebration by encouraging fans in New York City, Los Angeles, and Chicago to tweet #DoleWhipDay + #Promo for a chance to score a refreshing treat delivered to their doorstep on-demand. We delivered a DIY Dole Whip kit to 688 Dole Whip connoisseurs and 12 VIPs. The gift included an insulated tote filled with Dole frozen pineapple chunks, Dole pineapple juice, Dole frozen mango chunks, oat milk, a dessert dish, and a spoon. Kits in New York City and Los Angeles arrived within one hour of social participation, while Chicago deliveries were scheduled for the following day.
