With social distancing guidelines becoming the new normal, the summer of 2020 proved to be unlike any other. Dos Equis turned to us to give beer drinkers across the country a reminder—a bright green one—to drink at a distance. And what better way to entice fans to social distance than with a six-foot (or seis foot) beer cooler?

Ahead of the campaign, Dos Equis drove beer connoisseurs to the custom landing page to purchase any Dos Equis product for a chance to win the coveted cooler. Fans could also opt-in to receive a reminder email when the campaign went live. The campaign generated a ton of social buzz leading up to activation day through nine influencer partnerships across various platforms and articles on popular sites like AdWeek and Forbes. On launch day, @DosEquis tweeted, encouraging fans 21 and older to visit seisfootcooler.com to upload their Dos Equis receipt. We could verify the purchases using optical character recognition and notify the first 45 fans they won a cooler. As a consolation, fans who didn’t win received a $5 digital code for a discount on their next Dos Equis purchase.
