Background

Walmart's Black & Unlimited platform is an initiative designed to celebrate and amplify Black excellence, creativity, and entrepreneurship. To further this mission, Walmart partnered with Fooji to elevate Black-owned products available at Walmart through a social giveaway campaign. The collaboration aimed to showcase Black excellence while building meaningful connections between consumers and Black-owned brands.

Our solution

We collaborated to develop and execute a month-long, multi-channel social giveaway that engaged audiences across Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok. The campaign combined Walmart’s social calls-to-action with strategic advertising placements from affiliate partners — creating an impactful and targeted campaign around Black & Unlimited initiatives. Each week of the campaign, winners received exclusive, curated kits featuring products from Black-owned businesses in Walmart’s beauty and food categories. These kits showcased the quality and diversity of Black-owned brands while creating a tangible connection between fans and the products. Using Fooji’s advanced fulfillment capabilities, the kits were delivered nationwide — five times faster than the industry average. Through thoughtful storytelling and physical experiences, Walmart demonstrated how purpose-driven initiatives can inspire customers to celebrate and support Black excellence.
