Community Impact
We are deeply dedicated to improving the lives of our neighbors through sponsorships, donations, workplace campaigns, and coordinated group volunteer projects. 100% of Fooji donations are made to Lexington, Kentucky–based organizations that immediately impact our community.
Since 2017, we have invested nearly $100,000. In 2022, we pledged to invest $100,000 in a single year. We are committed to supporting causes near and dear to our team, including LexArts, Lexington Dream Factory, Habitat for Humanity, Hope Center, and The Nest. In extreme times of need, our team has stepped up to support relief for Kentuckians affected by natural disasters such as the Mayfield Tornado.
We invest mainly in small and medium-sized nonprofit organizations that focus on mental health, education, youth development, and housing, but we are open to funding any initiative to transform the lives of Lexington, Kentucky residents.
Impact Spotlight
Girls on the Run Central Kentucky
Girls on the Run Central Kentucky offers fun, evidence-based programs that inspire all girls to build their confidence, kindness, and decision-making skills. Dynamic lessons instill valuable life skills including the important connection between physical and emotional health. Through Fooji’s gift, 12,000 girls in Central Kentucky learned critical life skills including resolving conflict, helping others and making intentional decisions.
Lexington Habitat for Humanity
Lexington Habitat for Humanity and Fooji share a vision: to create a world where everyone has a decent place to live. Fooji supports Lexington Habitat for Humanity’s efforts in neighborhood cleanup, home ownership education, and critical home repair. The Fooji team is committed to volunteering to help build a house for a family in need in 2023.
Lexington Dream Factory
Lexington Dream Factory grants dreams to children ages 3-18 who have been diagnosed with critical or chronic illnesses. Fooji is grateful for the chance to make dreams come true as a sponsor of their largest fundraiser of the year, The Dream Gala. Since 2014, the Lexington Dream Factory has granted 31 dreams.
Lighthouse Ministries
Through the Fooji-supported “Dining with Dignity” program, Lighthouse Ministries offers a safe, clean, indoor environment for people in need to eat hot lunch and dinner. In a May 2023 volunteer service week, Fooji team members will head to our neighboring partner Lighthouse ministries to cook, clean, prepare, and serve a hot meal for lunch for 240+ people facing crisis situations.

In 2022, we established The Fooji Endowment for Kentucky to improve the lives of Kentuckians, particularly those in the Lexington region. This fund, administered through the Blue Grass Community Foundation, will grow in perpetuity beyond our lives and will always be available to help support our community that we love so much.
